  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of cocoa powder

  • Three large eggs at room temperature

  • 1 cup softened butter cream
  • 4 cups crushed sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups of whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Directions for the preparation of chocolate chip cake:


  1. Take a non- stick medium size cake pan to cook in the oven. First preheat the oven to 300oC and also do non- stick spray on the pan.
  2. Take a bowl to mix the ingredients like baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, sugar and salt. Stir it slowly to mix the dry ingredients  mixture.
  3. Take another bowl to add the eggs, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Stir it carefully and mix it until completely combined in the bowl.
  4. Now add both the bowl mixture together and mix it properly.
  5. Add coffee carefully in the blended mixture and pour it well in the container.
  6. Now bake it at the heat of 350oC  for 40 minutes . You can also check it after around 35 minutes.
  7. Now cool the cake on the rack for 25 minutes and take the cake carefully from the pan.
  8. After cooling the cake you can prepare the butter cream for layering of the cake.


Guidelines to make fresh butter cream:

  1. Take butter in the bowl and make it smooth in using the stand mixer. Now add crushed or powdered sugar and cocoa powder, then mix it well in the bowl. Add vanilla extract with whipped cream for better results.
  2. Make the mixture fluffy for the frosting the chocolate chip cake. It can take 3-4 minutes to mix it well with desired butter cream for the cake.
