When I had my daughter six years ago, I anticipated the day I could take her to Disneyland and see her face light up with oohs and ahhs from seeing her favorite characters off the Disney Channel in real life. We also realized that half of our friends who also had kids around the same age had Disneyland Annual Passes, so we opted to hop onto the bandwagon. Now see, Disney is smart. $500 for an annual pass? No problem, they’ll finance you with no interest with monthly payments. Definitely a win win for a Southern California resident like my self.

We enjoyed taking my daughter on random weekend mornings doing a few rides and then going home after lunch. It was a nice way to get out of the house and have fun. Fast forward and I now have a second child. In my mom’s words, “It’s only fair that my youngest gets to enjoy the Disneyland annual pass benefits as his older sister did. And thus, we are now Disneyland Passholders for the 5th year in a row.

I have to admit it is a good chunk out of the old monthly budget, but I do enjoy the moments we have together. I’m thankful we can afford this benefit and do it as a family. My husband I’m sure just went along for the ride, until today when he realized he could get a picture with Aladdin and the Genie himself. I’m definitely look forward to the many adventures ahead this year with our annual pass.

In my opinion, you are great parents! Spending your time and income for your kids is something each parent should do and you are definitely making your kids very happy! I especially like the part where you want your little kid to have the same privileges as the bigger one and that is lovely because sometimes kids get jealous and that can really hurt the relationship with their siblings. Your kids are lucky to have you as parents!
