When it comes right down to it, beauty is not about the way we look on the outside, the clothes we wear, the size we are or how long or short our hair is. So often, beauty is associated with appearance and superficial things and not often enough, is it associated with things you do not necessarily see. I am talking about kindness, loyalty and a giving heart. Unfortunately, those things are not seen on the covers of magazines.
We at Boutique on Feet love to give back. Yes, we have a business, but honestly, our business is more of a hobby than anything. We love fashion and everything “girlie”, but we absolutely love to be able to use our business for the good of others. It’s fun bringing our fashion and accessories to ladies and seeing them light up when they try on an outfit, or model a handbag or piece of jewelry. But, it’s even more fun to sell our merchandise and know the sales are going toward a good cause.
Earlier in the year, we were able to write a check to a local Charlotte family who has been living and breathing childhood cancer. Now we are hoping to raise money to help raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis. Little Olivia is a 3-year-old Charlotte girl who is living with this life-threatening disease of the lungs and digestive system. We want to do our small part and help make a difference in Olivia’s life and many others living with this disease.
