All mazes at Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt are spine-tingling and terrifyingly scary. We spent a dark and eerie night exploring all of their mazes and scare zones – and narrowed the list down to three mazes you must get to if you’ll also be spending time enjoying shows and rides within the park.

Wolf Pack

Ferocious, terrifying and unrestrained, this pack of werewolves leaves no survivors behind. Legend has it that once you are bitten, the transformation into a werewolf is so painful that all you can do is howl at the moon.

This has been a favorite of ours for the past few years. This year, there were a few updates that helped put it at number one on our list for the evening. It was so good, that we went through this maze twice. Be sure to go through this maze once the sun has set and it’s nice and dark – as the maze is located in the old que and loading area for Son of Beast, which can allow outside light in. The darker the better for this adventure.

Madam Fatale’s Cavern of Terror

Long since abandoned but recently rediscovered, Madame Fatale’s Wax Museum was one of the most famous attractions in the world at the turn of the century. It was state of the art in its time. Patrons marveled as the accuracy and detail of her creations. How did she do it? Take your time exploring this long lost legend. See if you can discover her secret but be careful not to get burned in the process.

The key room is what helps push this maze into a top position. As if wax sculptures aren’t creepy enough this maze offers the opportunity to meet Madam Fatale herself. Purchase a Fright Lane Pass with Skeleton Key to gain access to the key room where Madam Fatale is waiting to greet you and tell you her story. Don’t worry, her pets aren’t too.. frightening.

Blackout

Are you afraid of the dark? Then Blackout will absolutely terrify you. Grab a group of friends and venture through this entirely dark maze. Having no idea what may be around the corner, or right behind – well, that’s the fun of this maze. (Don’t worry, you’ll be given a rope that your group must hold onto to keep you together. They will instruct you to keep your right hand on the rope and left hand on the wall.)

Don’t forget to check out their other maze options. They’re all fantastically creepy. Been there? Done that? They’ve added some surprises to returning mazes and introduced Backwoods Bayou in place of Cornstalkers.
