Quickly whip up this amazing twist on an old classic - and never look back!
- 2 14.5 oz cans green beans, drained (frozen or fresh green beans will need to first be cooked/boiled until tender)
- 1 10.75 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 6 oz French fried onions (or just as many as you’d like!)
- 1 c shredded mild Cheddar cheese (sharp works as well – I just prefer mild for this recipe)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Mix green beans and soup in a large pan or pot. (Or a large microwavable bowl)
Heat on medium heat until warm. (Or microwave 3 – 5 minutes until warm)
Combine with 1/2 c. of shredded Cheddar cheese and heat for a few more minutes.
Pour mixture into a casserole dish.
Top with the French fried onions and remainder of shredded Cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes or until the French fried onions begin to brown and the cheese melts.
This recipe is perfect as a small side dish for a pitch-in or meal service four people.
Double recipe as needed for larger portions.
