How to Make Homemade Blueberry Pie

Homemade Blueberry Pie

  • ¾ Cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 4 Cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 14.1 oz package double-crust pie pastry (thawed)
  • 1 Tbsp butter, cut into tiny cubes
  1. Place oven rack in the lowest position
  2. Preheat oven to 375°

  3. Wash blueberries, drain, and place them in bowl
  4. In separate bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon, salt, and cornstarch
  5. Sprinkle over blueberries
  6. Place one pie crust in pie dish
  7. Dock pie crust
  8. Pour berry filling into crust
  9. Dot butter over filling
  10. Unroll or unfold second pie crust, and cut into 1/2 inch strips
  11. Weave strips into a lattice over top of filling
  12. Crimp edges
  13. Bake approximately 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling
