Every Sunday in October, Kings Island opens their doggie doors for their annual Dog Days event. It’s a trick or treat riot where your pooch can perform a trick and they get a treat from various pet vendors. Red Dog Pet Resort & Spa is the host. However, the pup with the most is Snoopy of course!
There is a parade and costume contest starting at 3 in Surf City where you and your pooch can dress up and walk through Snoopy’s Halloween Party while sharing in the joy of safe and healthy pets. You can even purchase special treats for your fur baby in case the treats they’ll get at the Halloween Party isn’t enough to satisfy their sweet tooth.
I love that Kings Island keeps the complete family in mind for Dog Days. Treats are available for fur and human babies as are activities to perform and enjoy together. There’s even adorable photo opportunities!
If you don’t have a dog it’s still easy to enjoy and support Dog Days. The SPCA is there with dogs ready to be loved and adopted by you. If you’re unable to adopt you can still show your support with donations like collar, leashes, bowls, blankets, towels, etc as they’re always in need of food, cash, materials and volunteers.
If you’re allergic you can skip everything pup related and safely enjoy the rest of the park for the cost of a ticket or the flash of a season pass. Just stay out of Surf City which turns into a party Snoopy can be proud of.
Woodstock and your other pets need to be left at home. Since Dog Days is only for the dogs. You will need a Kings Island ticket to get in but your dog is free. Don’t forget to bring copies of their records and only spayed or neutered pets may attend. Dogs need to be on non retractable leashes and 1 dog per 18 year or older owner. If your dog is not comfortable around children (big or small) or other dogs please come and enjoy the event while your pup stays safely at home.
