Bloggy Moms was provided complimentary tickets to the Ohio Renaissance Festival. All opinions are our own.

Forget your cares and step back in time to this 30-acre re-created 16th Century English village and enjoy over 400 years of fun in a single day! The festival offers something for everyone featuring nearly 100 shows daily on 14 stages, over 150 unique arts and crafts shops, hearty food and drink, games of skill and human-powered rides to amuse all ages.

It is certainly fitting that the Ohio Renaissance Festival would take place in late summer and early fall – when families are eager to snap up and capture the remaining memories that can be made outdoors for the year. With the beauty of the changing season, comes a new excitement for those treasured experiences. The added adventure of jousting, pirate shows, festive food, elaborate costumes, and fall fun ensure my family and the crowd they will not be disappointed.

Over 150 costumed characters welcome you to the village! Rub elbows with Royalty as you cheer your favorite knight to victory in the thrilling Full-armored Tournament Joust. Welcoming you to a festive day in the village are dueling swordsmen, rowdy pirates, nobles, peasants, and daring jugglers.

Not only do you get thrown into the medieval ages, while walking around the 30 acres, you get to experience a world of fantasy where fairies and your favorite movie characters come to life. The atmosphere alone is beautiful and entertaining but the shops and of course the food make it worth every penny.

Artisan Marketplace

The Ohio Renaissance Festival is home to one of the largest and most unique open-air Marketplaces in Ohio. The sprawling village of shoppes is filled with the ambiance and charm of a time over 400 years past. Over 150 master artisans and craftsmen come from all over the country to demonstrate the lost art of their crafts at this exceptional event. All craft items must be handmade and meet specific criteria in keeping with the Renaissance time period. View Artisans here.
