Being a bit of a coffee snob, I find myself roaming the streets of Cape Town hoping to come across new and hidden cafés. The appreciation for a good bean and brew is something I got from my dad. Strong coffee and classic watches like this Daniel Wellington in the style Dapper Sheffield are the things in life that really excite and satisfy me.
The minimalistic design and refined craftsmanship are factors that play a pivotal role in what makes the Daniel Wellington brand so special. The brace styles come in two variations, classic silver and rose gold. The simplicity of a black leather strap paired with the rose gold brace makes this small clock the perfect addition to any OOTD. The Dapper is sophisticated, but the deep blue hands enriched by the eggshell dial backdrop give a playful appearance and allows it to be worn in both formal and casual settings.
I wanted to capture this beautiful timepiece in one of my most loved places, a café. The decor here is utterly nostalgic. From the 70’s LP (long playing) rack to the sink across the room, the Hard Pressed Café is one of my favorite places to kill time, relax and reflect. My outfit was simple, a chocolate brown ribbed-knit dress and my OG leather jacket.
I’m really moved by local visual creators so these shots were inspired by Gareth Pon’s “portraits in windows”. Thanks to Kealin who made my vision a reality by braving the icy winds sweeping between buildings and side-streets in the CBD like a pro.
