Gatlinburg, Tennessee has quickly become one of our favorite destinations for a family getaway. Whether it’s a quick weekend trip or a relaxing vacation – we’re always excited to spend time in such a scenic location.
Gatlinburg has a seemingly never-ending list of attractions, restaurants and lodging. Though it has a lot to offer – I still suggest making your hotel/cabin reservations early! This is a beautiful and popular destination – so don’t wait to book your stay.
If you love being in the heart of it all and located within walking distance of The Village Shops, multiple attractions and dining options – then Greystone Lodge should be at the top of your list. Nestled along the river and next to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies – Greystone offers revamped executive rooms, suites and cottages to fit any size family or group.
“You will love our new look and executive rooms and suites from our recent $5 million Renovation. We also offer our standard rooms for the more budget conscious. All of our rooms feature private balconies, flat panel TVs & mini fridges with most featuring in-room Wi-Fi and some with Jacuzzis and gas fireplaces also. Start your day off with a delicious, free hot breakfast, burn those calories in our new fitness room or just chill by our heated outdoor pool with slide. If you need even more space or privacy, stay in one of our Greystone Cottages.”
I love the amount of space that we had in our suite. I enjoy being able to spread out, organize all of our stuff and move as efficiently through the room as if we were in our own home. I usually spend a little bit of time working on each trip – so the space also allows me to leave everyone else to their fun while I accomplish some of my daily tasks.
Our suite’s balcony peered over the gently flowing river that runs beside Greystone. It was so relaxing to return from a day in the mountains or an evening strolling through shops – and lounge on the balcony.
Those moments didn’t always last long. The kids wanted to spend a lot of time at the pool! The pool is perfect for getting in a quick dip, enjoying the sun and letting the kids swim… for hours.

Gatlinburg is my favorite place in the world! We had the pleasure of living in TN for 6 weeks a few years ago for a military TDY. We loved it! Your family is lucky to be able to venture there for a weekend trip–it takes us 3 days to drive there!
