If you haven’t been following along over the last 12 months, I have had a series of really difficult events in my life. Yes, I know we all have. 2020 was the worst. On top of that, I lost friends and loved ones due to various causes. I also had injury and illness that I seemed to constantly be battling.
All of this worked together to keep me from working out in one way or another. Either I wasn’t physically able to exercise and push my body or grief and sadness kept me from it.
Both factors helped to essentially erase all of the work that I had put into my body for years. That was also devastating for me in many ways.
I’ve been slowly making my way back into a good routine – and trying to remember the nutrients and supplements that I used to help replenish my body before and during workouts. It has actually been several years since I utilized Branch Chain Amino Acids – and partnering with Naked Nutrition BCAAs was the perfect prompt to again include them into my routine.
What Are Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)?
BCAAs are essential nutrients that our bodies obtain from proteins found in foods such as meat, dairy, and legumes.
How do BCAAs Help?
- Reduce Muscle Fatigue During Exercise
- Reduce Muscle Soreness
- Build Lean Muscle Mass

So, I’m a runner. Maybe I should say “runner”. It’s my exercise of choice, though my speed leaves much to be desired. But, I enjoy the full-body workout it provides. And, my body seems to do well with it.
Before I began implementing BCAAs back into my workouts, I was so (and I mean so very) upset that my legs would tire out so quickly. How could I lose so much stamina? I thought that, surely, my years of hard work would grant me this time off without bringing me back to the beginning of my fitness journey. I was entirely wrong. I was set back, years.
I’ve recently begun to implement Naked Nutrition’s BCAAs into my routine. I was intrigued that their BCAAs do not contain any artificial additives. Admittedly, this isn’t something I would have thought about even a few years ago. But as I’ve worked harder and noted the difference in various supplements – it makes a big difference. Requesting your body to manage a bunch of extras – shows.
So far, I’m enjoying what I’m feeling. I may not be as strong as I was even a year ago – but my muscles are better equipped for getting me there. They feel better and are performing much better and with less pain. The number of days I need to take off between runs is decreasing, and I can’t even begin to explain how that glimpse of “normal” feels.
How do I take Naked Nutrition BCAAs? I’m currently mixing it with flavored water. I know, flavored water isn’t the best choice of drink – but it’s what I’m doing for now. I may add it to a protein shake or smoothie later on.
Here’s a little quirk of mine. Maybe I’m not the only one? But when I look into a supplement – I need to know that it won’t cause my body to “bulk” up. Yeah, I’ve been teased about that – but I’m only 5’4 and a little bulk goes a long way. BCAAs are good for helping you to build lean muscle – and that is perfect for my frame and goals.
I’d love to hear your thoughts once you try Naked Nutrition BCAAs!
I won’t recommend anything to you that I haven’t tried and don’t use. You can check this BCAA out here.
