As the warm weather approaches and we start traveling with all members of the family – it’s important to make sure we keep everyone safe as we travel to the beach.

Dog Beach Safey

  1.  Drinking saltwater in excess can lead to concerns like vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration. If you see your pup trying to drink from the sea, tempt it out of the water and fill its bowl with drinking water.
  2. Pets are just as susceptible to heatstroke as humans. For that reason, remember to pack your dog’s sunscreen and a beach umbrella to ensure your pet has a place to rest and cool off.
  3. Do not leave your canine unattended with risks like high tides, pulling muscles, and drowning. Even if your dog is a capable swimmer, you should rely on flotation devices to ensure its well-being isn’t compromised in any way.
  4. Sharp objects could potentially harm your dog’s paws as well as extremely hot sand. It’s a smart idea to have a pair of dog booties on hand to keep your pet’s paws safe if the need arises.
